77% of Germans consider climate change a “very serious problem” (Eurobarometer). As Europe’s largest economy, Germany has a unique opportunity to set an example for Europe as a leader on climate action and to demonstrate that economics and the climate transition are compatible.

The goal of the ‘#2029BeginntJetzt’ campaign is to ensure a stable democratic government is maintained that is capable of acting and to encourage elected officials in Germany to prioritise climate action in their coalition agreement.

The campaign focuses on the positive legacy that policymakers could have, following their term in power, and on evidencing the widespread public acceptance of the seriousness of climate change. This includes ensuring a commitment to investment in energy transition infrastructure and technologies.

Impacts US bridges the gap between the public’s desire to understand the role of climate impacts in their daily lives and the capacity of local storytellers to serve that demand. We do this by identifying and researching local stories that illustrate how climate change is already showing up at our doorsteps and connecting with storytellers close to home to support their ability to tell those stories from a local perspective.

We are a collaboration between seasoned communicators, journalists, influencers, scientists, and policy experts, as well as everyday people who have experienced climate impacts. We are currently working in several states in the United States, to identify stories about people and communities experiencing climate impacts.

Cap Plastic Now

Plastic pollution is a growing global threat, deeply tied to the fossil fuel industry. On current plans, global plastics production is expected to double or triple by 2050 and become one of the largest growth drivers of oil demand.

Plastic is a global waste problem, and recycling is not enough to solve it. Since 1950, billions of tonnes of plastic waste have been produced, with only 9% being recycled. The rest pollutes landfills, oceans, and ecosystems, persisting for centuries.

The Global Plastics Treaty is a once in a generation opportunity to put an end plastic pollution by capping its production

The goal of the Cap Plastic Now campaign is to support the adoption of an ambitious Global Plastic Treaty that addresses the full life cycle of plastics. If plastic production isn’t capped in the treaty, our bodies, oceans and natural environments will pay the price for generations to come.
